Pulsar Slots

Pulsar – six letters giving us a snappy title for a slot and few clues to what might be involved. We do know that it is based in space, so if you like those games, this is certainly good to look at. Let’s find out more about it as we go through the stages of this review.

Reels and paylines landing in the Pulsar slot

You have seen this format many times before, we’re sure – five reels provide us with 20 lines. You will need to play all those lines as well.

Play from a single penny on each payline

This confirms you can play from 20 cents per go, as we have fixed lines to contend with. There are higher-valued coins here too, so check carefully before you begin playing.

Don’t expect to search for any wilds or scatters as you play this game

It’s true – neither of these traditional icons are included in Pulsar. There are no jackpots involved either, so it seems as if there is little here other than basic prizes to find. Don’t assume too much just yet though.

Can you land any Neutron Stars?

The game includes four Neutron Stars, all colored differently to aid identification. When you land one in a spin, it will remove a certain quantity of icons around it. As you might guess, each star removes a separate pattern of icons. Each star then counts down to an explosion. When that occurs, it will replace the exploded spots with the same icons.

If you land a prize at any point, the cascading wins feature will begin. This removes the winning icons and you will get a new presentation with new symbols filling the gaps. This can potentially create another prize, and if this occurs, you can continue with the cascades until you end up with a combination that doesn’t include any prizes.

What will you make of the Pulsar slot?

We like playing slots featuring wild and scatter symbols, so we were wary of this game when we first saw it. However, we ended up with some great gameplay while trying it out, so we’d certainly say it is a good title to try.
